Our team doesn’t stop growing! Get to know the Poatekers that joined the company last month.
Agner Piton took his bachelor’s degree in business and worked for nearly 10 years in the financial and administrative departments of small businesses, having experience as a department manager and entrepreneur. Three years ago he started a career transition to the technology field by taking a specialization course in Neuroscience and Applied Psychology, followed by a master’s degree in Artificial intelligence. He has now consolidated his new career by joining Poatek as a Data Scientist. For Agner, Poatek is a fast-paced and innovative company that values effort and constant self-improvement. Furthermore, for being an IT Consulting company, Poatek offers its employees the opportunity of participating in several diverse projects, from different parts of the world and using a broad range of technologies. He expects to make the most of it, embracing the chance to develop himself and his career by working together with highly skilled professionals.
Gabriel Linck joined our software engineer’s team in the last month. He has a bachelor’s degree in process in Systems Analysis and Development. Before joining our team, he worked at NT Consult, as a management system intern managing all company’s systems using AngularJS and NodeJS + Express. So far, Gabriel thinks that Poatek is a good place to work, or the perfect place to work, where all people have an excellent background. Also, poatek has a perfect environment to work in. About his expectations working with us, he said: “I probably won’t leave the company, I identified myself a lot here and the company allows me to grow up and have a good experience. I hope I can meet the other offices we have around the world, as one of my dreams is to get to know the USA. It may seem kind of silly because a lot of people from poatek have gone, but I dream about it and that’s my goal”
Glaucio Caldas is the brand new talent joining our data science team! He has an undergoing Computer Engineering Bachelor’s degree at UFRGS and has already worked for 2 years as a System Analyst at Gerdau, working with automation and other process enhancements before joining our team. Glaucio told us that he is liking his experience at Poatek so far, where all interactions with every one of the company, not only the data science team, have been very interesting. For the rest of this experience at Poatek, he expects to develop himself in various ways and participate in many different projects with our team.
Gustavo Oliveira is a Technologist in System Analysis and Development by Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo, a public university in Brazil who has just joined our office in Lisbon as a software engineer. He already works as Software Engineer since 2013 doing a lot of different stuff in .NET, Python, NodeJS, React, Vue.js, etc, in companies like Sonda IT, a multi-national IT consultancy from Chile; Grupo ZAP, the join between ZAP Imóveis and Viva Real, and Dixons Carphone, the largest retailer from United Kingdon. About his first month in the company, Gustavo told that he is really enjoying the time here. The whole team is talented (The “top 1%” it’s true), nice and funny. And for the future his expectations continue high, he told us that he has the best expectations possible! Where he will be able to learn, teach and build awesome things that will shape the future.
Leandro Pereira, also a new software engineer talent, has started studying Computer Science at PUCRS in 2015, and change later to the same course at UFRGS where he is graduating in 2022. Also, before joining Poatek, he has a first professional experience as a Software Developer Internship at Dell, and growing in the company as Software Engineer for 4 years. So far at Poatek, he told us: “I am enjoying the company flexibility, the diversity of the projects that Poatek is working on, in technical and scope terms, and the culture of sharing knowledge, where everyone is always open to help each other.”. Lastly, about his expectations here he is ready to face new challenges and to learn a lot, continuing his professional growth, and also to have the chance to apply in Poatek projects everything he has been learning in recent years
