Welcome, Poatekers!
Last month, we had 8 new talented people joining our team, meet them:
Alisson Lisboa just joined our data science team (after having won our last hackathon focused on data science)! Holding a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Alisson has already worked as an engineer designing HVAC systems. So far, he thinks that Poatek has a really cool ambiance, full of possibilities, where people are always looking to grow and do their best and he hopes to learn more and more and be able to help with the various projects he works on during his journey here with us!
Fernando Picoral is our brand new full-stack software engineer. Currently enrolled with the University of Colorado – Boulder (Computer Science, BS), due to covid, he had to postpone the start of his classes to the Fall/22 semester. In the meantime, he joined PUCRS (computer science as well) and is in the first semester. When we asked about his first thoughts about the company, he shared: “I’m loving everything about Poatek – from the environment of the office to my colleagues and the dynamics Poatek has (KTs, team meetings, mentorship & research groups, the list goes on and on…).My experience so far has been great and I only see it getting better in the near future.” And for the future here, even though unfortunately he already has a date to leave he hopes to help to contribute to the company’s growth and exchange knowledge with the teammates. In the nearly two months that he is here, he learned a lot and is excited and thrilled about the new challenges that he is yet to meet here at Poatek.
Filipe Sanders is joining our mobile engineering team. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Internet systems from Universidade LaSalle and has already some past experience working with mobile engineering. So far, Filipe has found Poatek a flexible company, caring for its employees and clients, with an excellent culture and many spaces for learning. He likes the autonomy to work and establish his own career inside the company. Also, his expectation for the future as a Poateker, he hopes to work with a variety of projects that will add experience and value to his career.
Hyago Ribeiro joined our team as a software engineer. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in advertising, he started his professional journey working with communication but followed through different ways until found his professional passion for technology. In his first month working at Poatek, Hyago found Poatek an encouraging company, with a strong culture where everyone grows together, and he’s certain that he will get to learn a lot of new things and develop his professionals’ skills in technology as well as help other Poatekers along his journey working with us.
Leonardo Correa Rodrigues also joined our mobile software engineering team. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UFPel and has already a 3 years journey working as a mobile engineer. Asking about his first impressions and expectations for the experience at Poatek, he told us: “It has been a great experience, the way that we work is different than I was used to, every day is a different challenge and it makes you improve as a professional. Also, I expect to help our company to grow, delivering the best products to our clients, and to develop my skills, exchanging knowledge with my teammates.”
Leonardo Fraga is another software engineer talent joining the team. With a degree in System Analysis and Development, he has already worked for three years as a software engineer for Dell Technology. So far, for Leonardo working at Poatek has been an excellent experience, considering the culture, the people, and the office are really good. He has been preparing himself to become a Poateker since 2020 and is really happy to be here now! For the future, he expects that to be here for a long time and help the company to grow, being an important part of it.
Jhonata de Oliveira Avila is the third talented mobile software engineer joining Poatek! He is currently studying Systems analysis and development at IFSul and has already some past experience working with Android development. Jhonata’s first thoughts about Poatek are that we are a company that cares for our employees, with great people working, that are always welcoming and willing to help new poatekers. Also, he expects to learn a lot from everyone, once he has never been part of such a big team, he thinks that it will be a great exchange of experiences.
Nei Cardoso is another brand new talent joining our software engineering team. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from PUC-RS and has completed two courses of PUCRS’ master’s degree in computer science. Before joining our team, Nei has already worked with convolutional neural networks for image processing and Ethereum smart contracts for supply chain verification and payments. Asking him about his first thoughts and expectations for the future at Poatek, he told us: “Poatek is pretty f-ing awesome. Its flexibility and transparency are rivaled only by companies with a tenth of its size. I hope I’ll be able to bring more value to Poatek per se instead of just GrubHub.”
