Poatek’s Internship Program: see what our interns think about being a Poateker.

Poatek’s Internship Program is for those who enjoy challenges and are always ready to evolve and have new experiences. In July, we received those selected for the second edition of the program and invited them to tell us a little more about how their experience. Check it out below: 

My name is Arthur Brugger and I am a Physics Engineering student from UFRGS. Today I’m a Data Science Intern at Poatek which is a company that couldn’t be better aligned with the workers’ personalities who praise studying and developing soft and hard skills while working on innovative and often interdisciplinary projects.

The global culture Poatek promotes and the contact with international clients is definitely my favorite attributes about this team. The company’s success relies on great professionals and I expect to continue learning from them at every step I take as an intern here.

Hey, my name is Deivid Machado, and I’m a Digital Games student at Uniritter. At Poatek, I am a Mobile Intern and I am learning how to develop apps on Android using the Kotlin language. Poatek is more than the eyes can see, just being inside the company and participating in this journey it was possible to see that it has grown a lot lately. I think it is the biggest opportunity of my life so far. I want to spend as much time as I can here and learn everything I can.

I am Elora Bicca, a Visual Design student at ESPM, and I joined UX/UI Design team as an intern at Poatek. I used to work with Visual Design creating posts for social media and graphic materials for branding. At Poatek, so far, I’m participating in the HUB project, and I was able to learn a lot from my colleagues, I love the possibility that we have here to exchange knowledge with everyone, not just within our team. It has been a journey of a lot of learning, knowledge, and fellowship.

Hi! My name is Julia Vilani and I’m studying Psychology at UFRGS. I am working as an intern in the Human Resources team, where I am helping in the recruitment and selection of new talents. I really like working at Poatek, the people are really nice, I’ve made some friends and I’m always laughing here. My expectations are to continue developing myself as a professional here and to contribute to the company’s growth.

Hey, my name is Laís Lobato and I’m studying Computer Science at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). I joined Poatek as a Software Engineer Intern, and I’m currently working on an internal application that helps organize and improve the collaborator’s experience inside of the company. 

What I really enjoy at Poatek is that I can learn about literally anything that I’m interested in! If I want to learn a new technology or know more about some project, it’s super easy to talk to someone who has more experience on the subject, or I can even sit next to this person and just ask for help. Working this close with qualified professionals has made me motivated to do my best and become as good as everybody here!

Hi, my name is Victória Alves! Holding a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from UFRGS I am an undergraduate student of Computer Science at Uniritter.

At Poatek, I’m working as a Data Science Intern. Poatek is a great place to develop new skills and meet great people. I feel very welcomed and encouraged to give my best every day. My expectation is to learn a lot, challenge myself, and contribute to the company’s growth.

Hello, my name is Victor Gandara, and I study Physics Engineering. I worked for three years in a lab inside UFRGS, developing open-source software and open-hardware mainly for citizen science and for other UFRGS labs and affiliated organizations. Now, I am a Data Science Intern at Poatek. I’m still surprised at how much Poatek enables its employees to grow and learn all the time. The company truly helps you and removes all the barriers when it comes to learning.
